In these trying economic times we provide the same care as in the Emergency Room 85 % of the time at 20 % of the cost. For example, a 2 year old went to the Emergency Department for fever. She was diagnosed with influenza. The parent's bill for the 10 minutes with the Emergency Department Provider (who may have been a physician assistant or Nurse practicioner and not a Medical Doctor) was $600.00. The same care for the same patient would have cost the family $25.00 in our office. If the child did not have insurance the care in the Emergency Department would cost over $1,000. The same care would may cost between $125 to $150 in our office. And you did not have to wait for 3 to 6 hours to see a provider.
